Law firm Lanyon Bowdler has signed up as a sponsor one of the largest events on the Shropshire networking calendar.
Shropshire Bizfest was held for the first time last year and proved a major success with more than 200 people from 150 businesses across the county coming together for the event.
This year’s event takes place on September 12 at The Reech Community Hub at Shrewsbury Town Football Club and promises to be bigger and better with more than 400 people expected. The day will also feature 12 topical seminars, hands-on workshops, 1-2-1 meetings with business experts, more than 30 trade stands, live music, entertainment and street food.
Brian Evans, managing partner at Lanyon Bowdler, said: “This is a major event for Shropshire and the many successful businesses within our county. We are delighted to be involved as the headline sponsor.
“It was launched by Reech, Shropshire Festivals and Shropshire Chamber of Commerce last year with a view to create the opportunity for business people to meet up and network in a relaxed atmosphere.
“The event was hugely popular and really struck a chord with many people from the local business community, so we are proud to support it this year. It promises to be a much bigger occasion.
“Lanyon Bowdler believes it’s vitally important to support the local community and our team is always keen to get involved whenever and wherever we can, which is why we are pleased to be part of this year’s Bizfest. Business is the very lifeblood of our county and it’s important to nurture any ideas and events which help promote that.
“Networking opportunities are valuable arenas to help businesses thrive – excellent focal points where like-minded people can meet and make useful contacts for mutual benefit.
“Sharing connections and expertise play a major role in making Shropshire such a vibrant location for business to develop and grow and Bizfest provides the ideal opportunity to do that.”
Managing Director at Reech, and creator of Bizfest, Rob Hughes, said: “Shropshire Bizfest is fast becoming one of Shropshire’s largest networking events with many businesses across Shropshire signing up to attend. Lanyon Bowdler has recently become one of our main sponsors for the event and will be holding a seminar, workshop and 1-2-1 meetings throughout the day on Contracts on Employment.”
