Pure Telecom is making all the right connections with the local business community by sponsoring one of the county’s largest networking events next month (SEPT).
The firm, based in Shrewsbury, has signed up to sponsor the second Shropshire Bizfest which follows on from the hugely successful inaugural event last year involving more than 200 people from 150 businesses.
This year’s event takes place on September 12 at The Reech Community Hub at Shrewsbury Town Football Club and promises to be bigger and better with a packed programme including hands-on workshops, 1-2-1 meetings with business experts 12 topical seminars, live music, entertainment, street food and more than 30 trade stands.
David Hayward, Pure Telecom, managing director, said: “This is another major event for Shropshire and Pure is delighted to be part of it as one of the sponsors. We are always keen to promote local business and our community and events such as this are of tremendous benefit through networking opportunities.
“We are already heavily involved in Shropshire Cricket Club’s Pure Telecom Challenge as main sponsor over what will be a six-year period. That has become one of the largest events on the business calendar and Shropshire Bizfest is another excellent business vehicle, a major success in its first year and fully deserves our support.
“The event was launched by Reech, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and Shropshire Festivals with the aim of getting business people together in an informal setting to make contacts and talk about ideas.
“As part of our involvement on the day, I will be presenting a seminar on Connectivity in the County and Beyond – something which is vitally important to all of us living and working in the exciting, fast-paced world we live in today.
“I’ll be discussing what’s on offer now and looking ahead to what’s likely to be available in the future, why connectivity is key to business success and how businesses can use it to their advantage for increased productivity, security and resilience.
“We will be hosting a Pure exhibition stand displaying our Pure VoIP handsets, giving the opportunity to meet and chat with some of our team and the chance to find out about our new, exclusively branded, product Pure VoIP – a unique hosted telephony service which is going to be of great benefit to our customers.
“Part of the sponsorship package for Shropshire Bizfest also allows us to host informed 1-2-1 sessions where I will be available to chat about our services, answer any questions and give advice.
“It promises to be an interesting, entertaining and informative day out and we are proud to be able to play a part in it.”
Richard Sheehan, Chief Executive of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, commented on the sponsorship: “Pure Telecom are active sponsors of a number of Shropshire events, so it’s great to have them as a sponsor of this years Shropshire Bizfest. As part of their sponsorship, they will be holding a seminar on ‘Connectivity in the Country and beyond’ which focuses on connectivity amongst businesses and they will also be holding 1-2-1 meetings throughout the day.”
